Point of Sale
Created designs for the Point of Sale (POS) system at Walmart stores to incorporate Vudu callouts, allowing us to sell movies throughout the POS.
Summary
The objective of this project was to create a point-of-sale system that created a joint experience in which Walmart's current POS system was being used as a basis but with added functionality that allowed customers to shop movies from Vudu at self-checkouts in Walmart. The solution was taking over several areas of real estate in the platform and working alongside UX designers and Walmart engineers to figure out specs and requirements. The final solution was creating designs that looked close to Vudu's visual design style and heavily relying on movie key art and posters to make it appealing and easy to understand to the customer, as this was essential since we only really had a few seconds to call the customer's attention.
